How To Wash A Car... Lexi Style...

Today was car washing day...

But Lexi had ideas of her own... there were other things that were more dirtier than Mom's car...

Like say... the cat!
"Hold still Smokey, this won't hurt a bit"

"Good Kitty"

Lexi thanks Smokey for being a good sport...

But it was time to move on, Big Sis had to show her the bubbles in the bucket...

So maybe she'll help wash the car after all...

But the bubbles feel so good!

I wonder what they taste like?

Maybe if I look clean, Mom won't make me take a bath tonight...

Scrub-a-dub-dub...
Wait, I missed a spot... ah, there.

OK, now I've had enough.

"I promise Mom, I didn't put all those bubbles in Lexi's hair"

Not only did I get a clean car out of this, but a half clean kid too!

15 Already?

So I'm running behind by about three birthdays... I'm slacking.  We'll start with Amber's and backtrack the other's that I've missed.

Can you believe it?  I can't, 15 already!  I remember being 15 and that doesn't seem too long ago.  And if your wondering the obsession with the birthday stickers?  I couldn't just post pictures of my vivacious 15 yr old daughter in a bikini for the world to see.  This was after we returned from the pool and Amber and her party guests wanted to play in the "ice" cold rain.

I decided to do something different, Amber had a pool party and instead of cake & ice cream, we had an ice cream party!  An all you can eat buffet of brownies, ice cream, caramel and hot fudge not to mention the other goodies we smothered on top.

Even Lexi enjoyed a waffle cup with whipped topping... yummmmm

Each item I brought out and sat on the table, the girls eyes got bigger... Note To Self: Not so much sugar next time. ;)

This is what sugar does to a kid

Happy 15th Amber!

Many Faces Of Amber....

How many pictures can you take of yourself? I mean really! Amber got a new camera so while she was at school today I decided to upload her pictures to the computer for her... it took FOREVER and ever and ever and ever......................................................... there were 168 pictures that she took of herself over the course of two days.

Oh the fun I can have with this! I decided to do a collage, ofcourse this is nowhere near the pictures she took. Then I decided to make a video with some really dorky music. Ahhhh.... I see blackmail in her future! Bad Momma, Bad!

Trip Down Memory Lane...

Thinking about Lexi turning one in two months made me emotional... I started sifting through our photos and it brought back so many memories for me, especially when the older kids were little. When you have different age groups growing up together you tend to forget the cute little things that the older ones did, or that could just be because I have too many kids.

I ran across this cute Easter picture of Matt & Amber. Adorable! Matt was 4 and Amber was 2.

Matt's first birthday... I still think he was way too gorgeous to have been a boy.

Alex's first Santa picture... he doesn't look too happy about it.

I didn't meet these sweet kids until Alyssa was 5 and Megan was 7 and Allen 14. This is Megan's 4th birthday. Look how much everyone has grown!
Daddy and his sweet girls.
Our first Christmas as a family... can't believed I paid $5 for this stinky picture of a bored Santa. This was in 2004. Amber is 9 here, Megan 7, Bethany 6 and Alyssa 5.

Bethany with a much smilier (if that's even a word) Santa. Beth was 8.
Then I ran across this one, Megan and Alyssa. I'm not sure how old they were here, the imprint on the back says 2000. I look at Alyssa and I think about the resemblence of her and Alex.

Our first vacation with Alex and Lexi... she hardly had any hair!

Me and my hunk! 2004

When I married the love of my life... November 2004
Matt 11, Amber 9 and Beth 5. A little getaway with my kids that I drug Scott along. Close to when we first met.
Alex's 2nd birthday.

Alex 20 months.

{Mean Girls}

Amber's had her first taste of the well known GIRL DRAMA that has so lovingly been passed down from generations upon generations.

I'm just now posting this because I didn't know how Amber would feel about my telling the web world of her teenage angst and pains. But I told her that she should feel blessed to have such a cool and understanding Mom. Most Mom's would have freaked and started wreaking havoc in their daughters lives, but no, not me. You will understand after you read about the following phone conversation...

*Cell Phone Rings*
"Hello?"
Unidentified caller "Is this Amber B****'s Mom?"
Me "yes"
Unidentified caller "I'm calling from the clinic and like your daughter Amber like came into our office like just last week and like needed to take a pregnancy test and like I'm calling you with like the results of her like pregnancy test."
Me "your from like the clinic?"
Unidentified caller "yes maam"
Me "So like Amber needed a pregnancy test? Like that's so cool. And you know what's even better? That your like one of Amber's like so called friends from school, like aren't you?"
Unidentified caller "yes maam"
Me "Would you like want to know what like gave you away that your not like a grown up? STOP SAYING LIKE!!!!!"
Unidentified caller "yes maam"
Me *CLICK*

I then proceeded to tell Amber about the conversation and she's cracking up and I'm cracking up.

Come on teenage girls! Bring it on! This Momma aint no dummy! Been there done that got my tee shirt and went home!

Putting On A New Brave Face...

All grown up...

Funny how time passes quickly, one minute they are little and in diapers then you blink and they are 14 getting braces off and wanting highlights.

Amber is no longer a brace face. I think her teeth turned out beautiful!

My New Toy...

I treated myself to a new camera and photo software thanks to good ole Uncle Sam... so the snow provided new ideas for me and also an excuse to play with my camera.

The kids enjoyed some hot cocoa after playing in the snow

Trying out my Macro Lens... ice on the suburban

Alex was disapointed to find out you can't make snow angels in ice/snow

A Few Of My Favorite Things...

Granny, ofcourse made Lexi happy...
Matt got his most favorite prized posession... Tony Hawk for the PS3..

Beth was simply happy with gloves that had PRE-CUT holes for the fingers, prior to this x-mas she cut my fingers on MY GLOVES... shocker when I put them on.

Daddy and Lexi sharing a moment...

Going for it!
