Manic Monday...

Our Weekend...

I have decided that I really do like Monday's, being that they are my favorite day of the week when I think about it. Why? Because the kids go back to school after the weekend and hubby goes to work. That means, I get the whole house to myself, well minus Alex, but still. Nobody needs or wants anything.

But today, Matt & Amber go to school 2 hours late due to the weather we had over the weekend. I don't know why, the roads are completely dry and what snow is left is mostly left in ditches and places where the sun doesn't shine much. What a joke, our snow. Anyway, Megan and Alyssa head home today to their Mom, we didn't take them yesterday because between us and Georgia there is this huge mountain called Mont Eagle and all winter there are huge icicles hanging from the rocks, I'd love to measure them one day to see how big around and long they are, but it's not a nice mountain when the weather is nice although they do keep the roads salted pretty good during the winter, we didn't want to risk it. And the sun doesn't get in there much on the roads. So yeah, we're sissy's!

Manic Monday...

How we spent our weekend? Painting downstairs.

Actually all I did was watched. So I suppose there was really no "we" to it. I did coordinate where I wanted to hang everything back up. But there is still stuff to do, it's like moving. By the time we hide all the wires from the tv, finish hanging pictures up and putting back odds n ends.

My next project? I am planning on making curtains for the front window. I found the neatest fabric at Hancocks over the weekend, it's thick and won't let alot of light through when we are watching tv. I personally do not like sitting in the dark, it's depressing but my dear hubby is a fan of dark rooms and tv.

Manic Monday...

So today's a holiday and the kids are out of school, Amber slept over with a friend from church. Alex is bundled up on the couch watching "Thomas and Gerald" otherwise known as Tom and Jerry cartoons. Bethany is holed up in her room doing goodness knows what. Matt is still asleep and Dear Hubby is at work. Doesn't sound too bad for a Monday with kids home does it? Well it is!

I look around at my house and wonder how and why it gets so messy just from day to day living. Almost four more weeks and Lexi will be here and I still have tons to do. I do not feel organized, my house doesn't feel clean enough for a little one to make their entrance and I'm tired of being sick. I have been battling this head cold/sinus allergy thing for almost two weeks now.

So maybe I should just change this title to.... Calgon, take me away!

And for those of you who know Leslee from Phillips 101 please keep her in your prayers, she stayed overnight in the hospital because she had become dehydrated. She's 9 weeks pregnant I think, and has had terrible morning sickness that lasts all day and night. She's not able to keep anything down and all she can do is lay on the couch.
